Continuing the first
day of my trip, AW
and I headed for lunch.
It was a few minutes drive from
where we stayed.
Bohol Bee Farm.
We were welcomed by trees, flowers, herbs, the cool wind and (again) an overlooking view of the sea while dining under the sun (unfortunately, for our visit, the sun was a little snob!)
We were given Squash Bread with diced green tomatoes, Mango spread and Pesto bread.
For
drinks, I ordered Ginger Lemonade (AW was persistent that I order it!) while my sweet companion ordered Lemongrass Iced Tea, which
was exceptionally good.
Organic
Fresh Garden Salad for our greens. Petals, flower buds, greens with honey
mustard dressing.
Native Chicken Adobo with
brown rice and cassava fresh lumpia.
The chicken was…. satisfactory.
The cassava fresh lumpia on
the other hand..
Made me say oohh and ahh! It was the highlight of my meal! A mix of flavours, made with slices of mangoes, cheese, carrots, peanut butter and honey mustard dressing. I definitely recommend this!
Fresh Herb Pasta – Herbs,
Pasta, Tomatoes. Exceptional.
After a long gulp of our
drinks and small sighs of satisfaction, AW and I head down to the small bread
shop and bought a loaf of squash bread (yes it was that good!) for us to carry
to our next stop which is Bohol Beach Club for a little fun under the sun!
We stayed by the beach absorbing
the sun while catching up with each other with drinks in hand.
When the sun said goodbye, we we're tan enough and so we grabbed our bags and went back to our hotel.
Bohol Beach Club (their website is down as of this moment, I'll link it once its working)
